Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Education:
- Grade 5 or higher (ABRSM or equivalent) in any musical instrument, demonstrating a strong foundation in practical music skills, OR
- Diploma or higher in Music from a recognized university, showcasing advanced knowledge in music theory and practice, OR
- Diploma or higher in Education with music as an option, highlighting expertise in music education.
Additional Considerations:
- For options 2 and 3, proficiency in at least one musical instrument is required.
- Candidates will be assessed for their performance abilities and sight-reading skills.
Experience:
Ideal candidates should have:
- A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience instructing any musical instrument.
- A track record of teaching both beginner and advanced students.
- Experience in school settings is advantageous.
- Experience in conducting online classes is an added advantage.
Nature of Job:
Candidates should be prepared for the following aspects of the role:
- Lessons are conducted at students' homes; therefore, candidates should be willing to provide home-based lessons.
- Utilizing the school's portal system is mandatory, and candidates should be willing to learn and effectively use this platform.
- Punctuality is essential, and candidates should be highly time-conscious.
- Regular training and development sessions are an integral part of Cheza's commitment to quality education, and candidates should be willing to attend these sessions to continuously improve their teaching skills.
Post-Interview Training:
Upon successful completion of the interview process, Cheza Music School offers comprehensive training to prepare teachers for their roles. This training covers:
- Teaching Methods: We provide instruction on our unique teaching methodologies to ensure that all our teachers are well-equipped to deliver effective music lessons.
- Portal Usage: We guide you in using our school's portal system, allowing for efficient communication and lesson scheduling.
- Client Relations: Our training includes strategies for building strong, positive relationships with our students and their families.
After this training, teachers are fully prepared to provide exceptional music education. Once the training is completed, we will then assign lessons to the teacher.
