Hi, I’m Alfred, a piano and woodwind teacher with over 10 years of experience working with both children and adults. I teach using a blend of classical, contemporary, and eclectic approaches, depending on what best suits each student’s learning style and goals.
I hold Grade 6 Piano, Grade 7 Saxophone, and Grade 5 Music Theory qualifications, and I also have a strong background in choral training. I enjoy helping students not just play their instruments well, but also understand music deeply, whether they're preparing for ABRSM exams or simply playing for the love of it.
I also teach contemporary piano and saxophone - also known as playing by ear or improvising.
For kids, I’m passionate about making music lessons creative, engaging, and fun. I work hard to create a relaxed and friendly learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical abilities and grow at their own pace.
Outside of teaching, I’m also an active performer, and I love sharing that real-world musical experience with my students.
