Drum Kit, well known in Kenya as Drum Set, is one of the exams that we have been missing from the ABRSM's prestigious exams. In 2024, for the first time, ABRSM introduced Drum Kit exams as Performance Grade exam, and the Drum Kit digital pieces are available for download from their online shop. These exams cover a wide range of styles and techniques, from Initial Grade to Grade 8, featuring genres like jazz, hip-hop, rock, funk, Afrobeat, and more.

Exam Structure and Booking
Candidates are required to record a continuous performance of four pieces: three from the ABRSM Drum Kit Exam Pieces book and one own-choice piece.
